RE: LP gas

I use it on LP while traveling. A frig will run for months on a tank of propane.

RE: carbon monoxide detectors

Many of us have run generators outside for years. We are still here to tell you about it. There is nothing wrong with Wal Mart detectors.

RE: Dump Valve Leakage

Are you sure it is a leaking valve? I had a trailer once that always had water in it when I took the cap off but the valves did not leak. The pipe from one of the tanks ran uphill toward the outlet. If the trailer was level it would never drain out. Had to have the rear end high for it to drain.

RE: Best place to buy a Deep Cycle Battery?

Make sure you get a true deep cycle and not a marine deep cycle. There is a difference.

RE: Hot water heater not hot anymore

Check your outside shower. Make sure the valves are closed.

RE: Interstate or State Roads

I avoid all the interstates I can. I don't like the continuous string of traffic going around me. As long as the road is paved I'll drive on it.

RE: Rainwater coming in through AC unit

Loosen the 4 bolts the previous poster mentioned, unplug the elec.. wires and lift the AC unit off. You will see a rubber seal that probably needs replacing. Clean the area under the seal real good, as well as the AC, and replace the seal with a new one.

RE: Need HELP picking out a generator.

It depends on what you want to run. If you want to run the Air Conditioner you will need two.

Other posters have it right. Check your bypass valves.

RE: Water Heater/Oven Question

The water heater and oven have a thermocouple that needs to be heated up before the gas will flow. You need a gas lighter, not a match, to heat them up. It is located right where the pilot light is. Just hold flame on this for a while. It may have to purge the air out of the line first so it may take a while. You also have to hold the oven control knob in while trying to light it and you have to hold the gas valve on the water heater down while trying to light it.

RE: Screen door slide

The only place I could find a replacement the size I needed was from the door manufacture. I wanted to replace the white one with a clear one. The manufacture didn't have clear so I am still using the old one. The ones at Camping World were too small for my door.

RE: regular mail long term

If I am staying in one place I have it forwarded to me there. If I am moving around I have it forwarded to my son, who mails it to me as requested.

RE: How To Fill The Fresh Water....

Cleaver. I usually just stand there and wait because if I go do something else, it will overflow.

RE: Banks Question

I installed a banks Power Pack on a 99 F250 V10. It made a world of differance when towing. Could not tell much differance when not towing. A slight increase in fuel mileage. I am well pleased with it.

RE: Camper breaks work some times

The wire from one side of the axle to the other goes through the axle. This will wear through and short out. Replace it with one on the outside of the axle and I bet your brakes will work.

RE: Fleetwood roof

Yes, you should be concerned. If this is the caulking is is about ready to crack and leak. My son has a fleetwood and the caulking on the roof turned brown, shrunk and cracked. His roof now leaks.

Any RV dealer can do a warranty repair. It does not have to be the selling dealer.
